Please note that, owing to the COVID-19 situation, the sponsorship packages described below have been amended to take account of the virtual format of the conference. E.g. we are no longer able to offer physical conference booths and visibility on printed materials, but the use of a conference app to support virtualization, as well as some other measures, now enables us to offer our sponsors at least comparable visibility (sponsor listing and other visibility in the conference app, feature-rich virtual exhibitor booths, and more). The updated packages adapted to the virtual conference format are described here.
ECML PKDD is the premier European machine learning and data mining conference, attracting a worldwide audience. The conference program includes presentations of peer-reviewed research papers, invited talks by eminent researchers in the field, a wide program of workshops and tutorials, a discovery challenge, a demo track and an Applied Data Science track. ECML PKDD 2020 builds upon a very successful series of 30 ECML and 23 PKDD conferences, which have been jointly organized for the past 19 years. The conference attracts an audience of over 800 attendees and it is a unique opportunity for companies to develop connections in both machine learning and data mining communities, acquire new talents, contribute to innovation and market their brands. The conference is known for its relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of networking opportunities and social activities.
The ECML PKDD conference provides a forum where sponsors will enjoy a great amount of visibility within the machine learning and data mining communities. The conference web site (www.ecmlpkdd2020.net) will attract several tens of thousands of visits until the end of September 2020. Other international promotion initiatives will be carried out through web portals, mailing lists, posters and social media. The conference lasts for five days, with workshops and tutorials on Monday and Friday and the main conference sessions on Tuesday to Thursday. It will also feature an Industry Track, which will give companies an additional opportunity to present themselves during the conference.
In 2020, the conference will be held in Ghent, a beautiful city in Belgium, a stone’s throw from Brussels, Paris, London, and Amsterdam.

Social Events
Conference Dinner - 6 000 €
The festive conference walking dinner takes place in the Oude Vismijn in the historic center of the city. As sponsor of the conference dinner you will be advertised as such on the relevant page on the conference website, and will have the opportunity to display (silent) advertising video on TV screens scattered throughout the dinner area, and to display a banner provided by yourself.
Welcome Reception - 4 000 €
The welcome reception takes place in the Opera in the center of the city of Ghent. As sponsor of the welcome reception you will be advertised as such on the relevant page on the conference website, will be announced as sponsor in the opening keynote prior to the conference, and will receive the opportunity to display a banner provided by yourself in the reception area.
Poster Session - 3 000 €
There are two fully catered poster sessions, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. As sponsor of a poster session you will be advertised as such on the relevant page on the conference website, and you will be offered an exhibition stand in the poster session.
Lunches - 2 000 €
As a sponsor of one of the daily lunches you will be advertised as such on the conference website, and be offered the opportunity to display a banner in the lunch area.
Conference bar ‘Happy Hour’ - 2 000 €
The conference bar, with a capacity of around 150 people, and located in the very center of the historical city and within a 5 minute walk of all major hotels, will be privately available to delegates each day from Sunday to Friday (Monday-Thursday from 9:30pm, after the evening program). As Happy Hour sponsor you will be allowed to organize your company-branded evening and Happy Hour in the conference bar.
