COVID-19 contingency plans

While it is premature to make decisions, the organization of ECML-PKDD 2020 is working on COVID-19 contingency plans, in close consultation with the ECML-PKDD steering committee. What has been decided is the following:

• The conference will not be postponed: it will take place 14-18 September 2020 as planned.
• Thus, all accepted contributions will be published, presented, etc, as normal (although presentations might take a different form).
• We are developing plans in case the conference needs to be organised virtually (as a last resort), or in a hybrid manner, aiming to ensure an optimal conference experience for all delegates, contributors, and sponsors.
• Final decisions on the modalities will be taken and communicated as soon as possible, and in any case before the early registration deadline (second half of July, exact date TBC).
